Terms and conditions
Last updated September 1, 2026
These are the rules for using the service. Creating an account means you accept them.
This agreement is between you and RidezoUS, Inc., which operates RidezoUS. Read section 11 carefully: it affects how disputes between us are resolved.
1. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. You need one account, in your own name, with accurate details. Do not let anyone else use it. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password to yourself.
A minor may travel with you on a trip you book and accompany.
2. What we actually provide
RidezoUS is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. We do not own the vehicles and we do not employ the drivers. The transport itself is provided by the driver, who is an independent contractor.
We require drivers to hold a valid licence, to carry the insurance their state requires, and to pass criminal and driving record checks before and during their time on the platform. We do not, and cannot, guarantee the conduct of any individual driver on any given trip.
3. Your account
Before your first trip you must complete your profile and add a payment method. Keep your details current, particularly your mobile number, since drivers use it to reach you.
Tell us at once if you think somebody else has your password. Until you do, trips booked on your account are your responsibility.
4. Booking and cancelling
A booking is a request. It becomes a trip when a driver accepts it. Estimated arrival times are estimates and depend on traffic and driver availability.
Cancelling shortly after a driver has accepted, or failing to appear at the pickup point within a reasonable wait, may incur a cancellation fee that covers the driver's time. The fee is shown before it is charged. If a driver cancels on you, or nobody arrives, you are not charged.
5. Fares and payment
The fare is calculated from distance, expected duration and demand at the time you book, and is shown before you confirm. When demand raises prices we display the multiplier on the same screen. Tolls, airport fees and applicable taxes are added and itemised on your receipt.
Your card is charged when the trip ends. If it is declined you remain liable for the fare and we may suspend your account until it is settled. Tips are optional, go to the driver in full, and can be added after the trip.
We accept US-issued credit and debit cards. We do not accept prepaid cards, and we may decline cards from issuers we cannot verify.
6. Refunds
If you are charged for a trip you did not take, if a driver took a significantly longer route without reason, or if the fare does not match what you were quoted, tell us within 30 days at support@ridezous.com. We look at the recorded route and the fare breakdown and refund where the complaint is justified. Traffic, a longer route you asked for, and a fare you agreed to before booking are not grounds for a refund.
7. How to behave
You agree not to:
- Threaten, harass or discriminate against a driver or anyone else.
- Damage a vehicle, or leave it in a state that needs cleaning.
- Bring anything illegal, or anything dangerous, into a vehicle.
- Ask a driver to break traffic laws or exceed the seating capacity.
- Use the service for anything unlawful.
- Interfere with the platform, or try to access parts of it that are not yours.
Damage or cleaning caused by you may be charged to your card, supported by photographs and an assessment of the cost.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used fraudulently, that repeatedly leaves fares unpaid, or where we believe someone is at risk. Where we can, we tell you why and how to respond. You can close your account at any time from your settings.
9. Lost property
Tell us as soon as you notice something is missing and we will try to put you in touch with the driver. We are not responsible for items left in a vehicle. A return trip made by the driver may carry a fee.
10. Liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that a driver will always be available, that the app will never fail, or that an estimate will always be right.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, missed appointments or lost earnings. Where we are found liable, our total liability for any trip is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Disputes
Most problems are settled by writing to support@ridezous.com, and we ask that you try that first.
If that does not resolve it, disputes are settled by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, and not as part of a class action. You may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.
You can opt out of arbitration by writing to legal@ridezous.com within 30 days of creating your account. Opting out costs you nothing and does not affect anything else in this agreement.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Material changes are emailed to you before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, close your account.
